The postholder will be responsible for delivering Healthwatch Southwark’s outreach work, building awareness and trust among diverse residents of the borough in order to develop a solid base for gathering intelligence. They will engage people in projects to investigate a wide range of different areas of health and social care, and work closely with the Research & Intelligence Officer to deliver these projects. In order to maximise our reach, they will lead on the recruitment, development and retention of volunteers.
They will also lead on the provision of signposting and information on local health and care services to local people, with the support of the team.
We've recently reviewed our strategy and want to bring our outreach, signposting and intelligence functions closer together, really build our reach and connect more with seldom heard communities - so this is a great time to join us. Healthwatch Southwark is part of a friendly and supportive team at Community Southwark, well-embedded in the local community through our work with a huge range of organisations. The organisation offers flexible working arrangements, generous annual leave (30 days per year plus bank holidays) and other benefits such as 5% employer pension contribution and tax free bike scheme.
Contract: Until March 2022 with potential for extension, 35 hours per week
Salary: £28,771 per annum
