Make Time for Tea! - It's Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

The Eve appeal - Make time for tea image

Have you got time for a cuppa?

People all over the country are hosting tea parties to hold honest and open conversations about cancer and raise money for cancer research.

Every year in the UK, nearly 21,000 women are affected by one of the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.

Ovarian cancer is the sixth most common cause of cancer amongst women in the UK with around 7,200* women diagnosed each year.

That's 20 mothers, daughters, sisters, wives or partners every day!

The Eve Appeal were set up to save women's lives by funding ground-breaking research which is focused on developing effective methods of risk prediction, earlier detection and screening. Every year they team up with other canver charities to raise awareness on this issue.

Get involved

Use this time to learn more about ovarian and other forms of gynaecological cancers, and how you can also help raise awareness!
