Build key skills and Gain some Independence with Royal Mencap Society!

19/09/2017

Everything The Royal Mencap Society (TRMS) do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, working to ensure they are listened to and included.

Mencap have recently launched a programme, funded by Page Recruitment, which specifically supports people with learning disabilities into employment. They are looking for five people from across London to take part.

What does the programme involve?

The project runs for 8 weeks, and includes:
• Employment skills-based workshops
• Work placement
• The opportunity to create and deliver a Community Impact Project

Why should I take part?

The programme aims to increase employability, and gives you a chance to become self-empowered and truly involved in your community.

Many volunteer placements give people the opportunity to make friends, build key skills and gain some form of independence.

When is it?

Starting dates are in mid-October 2017. The programme is FREE of charge.

How to join?
