Chaplaincy guidelines review workshop
Date: 20 Feb 2019 - 10:30 to 14:30
Location: NHS Confederation Floor 15, Portland House, Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5BH
NHS Employers are hosting this workshop for patients and patient representatives, to help review existing chaplaincy guidelines in healthcare and create new ways to build and improve upon practices.
The NHS Chaplaincy guidelines published in 2015 provided a comprehensive description of good practice in chaplaincy care for the NHS in England.
The document responded to changes in the NHS, society and the widening understanding of spiritual, religious and pastoral care.
Over the last three months NHS Employers has engaged with chaplains, NHS Managers, equality leads to review the existing guidelines and this has provided a wealth of feedback that will help shape the proposed revised guidelines in 2019. Read more.
