Our engagement volunteers support us to gather grassroots information from the general public about their experience of accessing health and social care service in the borough. This is very much a public-facing role and uses a number of engagement activities from helping to organise and attend events, having conversations with the public about the experiences, and raising awareness of Healthwatch.
You can also take part in our Enter and View visits; this is a statutory function we have to be able to visit any publically funded health and/or social care services to gather patient, carer and staff feedback about the service. If you are warm, caring and enjoy listening to people's experiences, come and help support our engagement activities!
If you have a good understanding of the health and social care landscape, we are looking for representation volunteers to confidently represent Healthwatch Southwark at external public and private meetings. We are looking for volunteers that are able to listen, contribute, and record details of the discussions and share them with us. If you are confident, have good communication skills, and have a good understanding of local health and social care, then come and help represent us at meetings!
